Qingdao Polar Ocean World Seal Pavilion Project

The Parans SP4 Sunlight System at Polar Ocean World was successfully implemented, bringing natural sunlight into indoor spaces and enhancing the overall environment.

On November 18, 2022, the Parans SP4 Sunlight System was successfully installed at Qingdao Polar Ocean World. On January 12, 2023, the project passed joint acceptance by multiple departments. Natural sunlight is essential for life, and for marine ecosystems, it helps maintain healthy and vibrant conditions for aquatic life.

Compared with typical artificial light sources, sunlight is considered the highest-quality light for supporting biological functions. It is a natural disinfectant, effectively eliminating many pathogens such as bacteria, fungi, rickettsia, viruses, and algae, without pollution or side effects. The ultraviolet and infrared components of sunlight can also help sterilize and nourish the skin and fur of animals, playing an important role in their overall health.

Parans designed a natural sunlight spectrum specifically for Polar Ocean World. The ultraviolet component helps prevent various skin diseases in seals. Using specially formulated light sources, targeted wavelengths are directed onto the skin, reaching the superficial and mid-dermis. The mechanism for treating skin conditions involves inducing apoptosis, particularly of immune T cells. Light exposure significantly suppresses the activity of epidermal antigen-presenting cells such as Langerhans cells, reducing inflammatory responses, while also enhancing metabolism and immunity to promote overall healing.

The Parans Sunlight System delivers its unique benefits indoors without being limited by building design, bringing natural sunlight inside to enhance comfort and provide abundant daylight. Parans Sunlight—the best light for humans!
